Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Derrick’s life experiences and upbringing has rounded him with the essentials of diversity and strong work ethic. Like many young entrepreneurs, Mr. Spearman has developed multiple successful businesses.
Derrick has worked in the financial industry for more than 23 years; starting his career at one of the largest collection companies in the nation, where he worked for eight years. From there, Derrick advanced his skills and focus in assisting consumers and homeowners fulfill their dreams of home ownership and refinancing; as he also excelled as a loan officer. During his tenure in this new financial sector, Derrick was responsible for spearheading countless marketing overhauls in order to enhance the closing ratios and efficiency of three large mortgage brokerage firms.
In 2008, the housing market crashed and Derrick was required to pivot and reinvent himself. With the knowledge and experience he gained, by co-founding a new business from the ground level. Mr. Spearman successfully negotiated hundreds of transactions on behalf of homeowners and consumers to thwart the efforts on various levels by preventing lenders from foreclosing.
Derrick’s most recent and exciting business endeavor is founder and CEO of Fresh Start Holdings, LLC. Mr. Spearman has enjoyed the opportunity to reunite homeowners with money which most have no idea even exists. This is by far the most gratifying position that Derrick has created, since every case the firm handles offer financial enrichment to each client that the firm has the privilege of assisting. Losing a home to foreclosure is one of the most difficult things in life for a person to deal with. Derrick has developed a program to not only locate unclaimed funds, but also aggressively locate the previous owners or their heirs quickly, in order to prevent these funds from being forfeited to the governing counties.
Derrick has been happily married more than 20 years to the love of his life Nicole and they share 3 amazing children ages 18, 16 and 13 years old. The Spearmans are a very close-knit family, who loves to spend quality time together enjoying the outdoors and a wide range of sports. The Spearman family also share their home with a special needs German Rottweiler named Rocco. Derrick is a highly motivated and results-oriented professional with excellent customer service and communication skills.

Timothy Stull has 30 years of experience working within the distressed credit markets. He has extensive knowledge of non-bank mortgage service industry, foreclosure processes & investor relations within non-prime debt.
Tim has extensive background on both sides of the debt game. While attending college, he worked for two large mortgage banks in collection side of mortgage servicing. Post college, Tim worked for two major collection law firms in Chicago’s financial district. In 2001, Tim left the collection industry, to work on high end debt resolution issues for independent clients. The current primary focus of the firm is recovering funds for clients post foreclosure. There is a heavy focus on identifying accounting distortion and escrow padding.

Tim grew up in Cedarburg, WI (Milwaukee suburbs). He studied at UW Milwaukee, and currently resides on the near North Side of Chicago, as well as keeping a residence in downtown Milwaukee. He has been married for 20 years (Jennifer), has an 11 year old son (Mac) and 80 lb Golden Doodle (Millie). He enjoys coaching sports and is an avid long distance runner. He has successfully completed the 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019 Chicago Marathons, and is currently training for the 2022 Chicago Marathon. He is also an avid Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks and Green Bay Packers fan.
